Spring is upon us and that means renewal and a revival of our winter makeup trends. The Spring beauty trends are all about 2016 glam, colorful lids and cream blush. Now don’t get deterred and stop reading, these spring trends have something for everyone.

If you can’t keep up with the every changing beauty trends, don’t worry, I like to pay attention to them and share them with my audience. Along with makeup, we’re looking at nail trends and of course my favorite, skincare.

Thankfully, all of these trends are easy for the every day makeup and beauty babe to achieve. You likely already have the tools you need on your vanity.

Skin Is In

Fresh, glowing skin, my favorite thing, is all the rage this spring. It seems the glass skin movement is coming to an end and attainable, healthy skin is the goal. You all know that I love skincare and taking care of my skin is a top priority so seeing that Fashion Week highlighted fresh skin was a delight. Hydrating serums and regular exfoliation can help you achieve the glowing, even skin tone. To add a little more glow to your skin, try a highlighter to give you that sun-kissed healthy glow. Try the Rare Beauty Positive Light Highligher in the shade Flaunt.

Nailed It

It’s no secret that I love press on nails. During the period of quarantine, I learned to love doing my own manicure at home and the variety of press on nails. Whether you like almond or ballerina shape, square or stiletto, press on nails offer lots of colorful options. Check out this Easy press on nail tutorial for some tips.

2016 Makeup

Natural, no makeup-makeup glam will always be in style. However, the return of 2016-2017 makeup is having it’s moment this spring, and personally, I’m glad. What is 2016 makeup you ask? In essence, it’s a beat face, from contour, foundation (no shade to skin tints) and epic eyeshadow with lashes and brows. I know, it sounds overwhelming, but when done right, a full glam look can be worn night or day. Check out a Youtube video from your favorite makeup guru (ME) on a full glam makeup tutorial.

Pucker Up

Lipstick truly is my love language. With all of the lip stains and matte lip inks that have been all the rage these past few years, the return of the cream formula makes me happy. According to Harper’s Bazaar the “freshly kissed lip look” is on brand for the spring. Cream or satin formula lipstick in vibrant colors of red, fuchsia and orange add a pop of fresh color. Nude shades aren’t going anywhere either. Creamy and pigmented lip balms that offer the staying power of a lipstick is easy to swipe on for a quick zoom meeting. Yes, we are still masked up, but when you’re not, swipe on your favorite lippie and show it off. Check out my lipstick collection with some new and classic favorites here.

Experiment with a Red Lip This Spring

Vibrant Thing

When I think of spring, I think of bright, beautiful colors, lush greens and sunshine. Vibrant colors on the eyes is another trend this spring that I love to see. Eyeshadow is a thing that I’ll likely never stop wearing and the more the merrier. This spring, venture out with a vibrant green or purple swipe of color on your lid. Pretty pinks and pastels will always be great on the eyelids, pair this with a nice neutral lip and you’re good to go. My current favorite vibrant eyeshadow is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Fall Romance Eyeshadow.

Tell me which 2024 Spring beauty trend you’re most excited about this season? As usual, you know my motto, makeup and beauty are fun. Have a ball exploring trends or following your own style. With makeup, nothing is set in stone and in my opinion, exploring is the fun part. Leave a comment below and don’t forget to share this post.
