Your skin but better. Blush, Lipstick. Natural glam. With the quarantine, the last thing on most people’s minds was wearing a full beat face every day. Thank goodness according to the experts at fashion week, natural glam is all the rage for spring and is here to stay!. I don’t follow many trends but I like to pay attention to them and share them with my audience. This spring, my favorite things are on brand and were some of the looks featured during fashion week. Thankfully, all of these trends are easy for the every day makeup and beauty babe to achieve. You likely already have the tools you need on your vanity.

Skin Is In

Fresh, glowing skin, my favorite thing, is all the rage this spring. It seems the glass skin movement is coming to an end and attainable, healthy skin is the goal. You all know that I love skincare and taking care of my skin is a top priority so seeing that Fashion Week highlighted fresh skin was a delight. Serums, and exfoliants can help you achieve the glowing, even skin tone. To add a little more glow to your skin, try a highlighter with a light shimmer to give you that sun-kissed healthy glow. I like the Fenty Beauty Killawatt in the shade Mean Money. http://www.fentybeauty.com.

Natural Glam

Long gone are the days of the over done, harsh brow. The infamous “youtube brow” with the block shape, extra heavy carved out concealer and brows that meet in the middle of your face are over. Natural glam, including your brows are what’s hot in these beauty streets for spring. Hallelujah!! As a person who loves a good soft brow and enhancing the natural brow, this news is refreshing. I look forward to seeing more of this with your makeup looks this spring. Using a brow pencil or pomade to simply enhance and fill in your natural brow adds a touch of class and precision to a look. No Makeup-Makeup

Speaking of natural glam, less is more. Let your skin show through the foundation and concealer this spring. Using a CC or BB cream that offer coverage without the cake is a good alternative to foundation. No makeup makeup doesn’t mean a bare face, quite the contrary. In lieu of foundation, use concealers, highlighters and blush to get the most natural glam. Pucker Up

Lipstick truly is my love language. With all of the lip stains and matte lip inks that have been all the rage these past few years, the return of the cream formula makes me happy. According to Harper’s Bazaar the “freshly kissed lip look” is on brand for the spring. Cream or satin formula lipstick in vibrant colors of red, fuchsia and orange add a pop of fresh color. Nude shades aren’t going anywhere either. Creamy and pigmented lip balms that offer the staying power of a lipstick is easy to swipe on for a quick zoom meeting. Yes, we are still masked up, but when you’re not, swipe on your favorite lippie and show it off. Vibrant Thing

When I think of spring, I think of bright, beautiful colors, lush greens and sunshine. Vibrant colors on the eyes is another trend this spring that I love to see. Eyeshadow is a thing that I’ll likely never stop wearing and the more the merrier. This spring, venture out with a vibrant green or purple swipe of color on your lid. Pretty pinks and pastels will always be great on the eyelids, pair this with a nice neutral lip and you’re good to go.

Tell me which trend you’re most excited about this season? As usual, you know my motto, makeup and beauty are fun. Have a ball exploring trends or following your own style. With makeup, nothing is set in stone and in my opinion, exploring is the fun part. Leave a comment below and don’t forget to share this post.
