If you ask me what I miss about being in quarantine since the big Rona took over all of our lives, my answer would be getting dressed and hitting the town. I love getting dressed up, getting my face beat to perfection, and putting on a pair of sky high heels. Unless I’m wearing tennis shoes or an occasional sandal, you can find bet I’ll have on a heel of some kind. Before quarantine, my work wardrobe was on the dressy side even though I worked in a somewhat casual environment. Regardless, heels were worn every day. Since being inside, I’ve mostly been barefoot, in slippers or socks and I’ve missed my heels something terrible.
A nice pair of 4 or 5-inch heels make my short legs look inches longer, and accentuate my calves and butt quite nicely. Heels just add that extra oomph to your outfit and can make a statement all on their own.
I have a couple of pairs of shoes that I purchased at the beginning of being at home. My thought was that by the time summer rolls around, I’d be able to strut my stuff in these new heels. Well, that’s not happening, so I decided to put them on and strut around the house, and have a photoshoot as well. No time like the present and with the way things are going, who knows when I’ll be able to feel safe enough to venture out for a night on the town.
The heels pictured are from New York & Company and are the tortoise buckle sandal.
