Go ahead and revoke my makeup artist card right now, but I do not like wearing false lashes. For this reason, I’m shopping new, affordable mascaras that I’ve found in the drugstore. Mascara is a makeup item that doesn’t have to cost a lot for it to work well. In fact, the drugstore has some of the absolute best mascaras that won’t break the bank

In this post, I’m giving you a breakdown of three affordable mascaras that you should try.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Clean Volume Mascara

Cover Girl is a classic makeup brand that has been consistent with affordable products. Recently they launched a new edition to the Lash Blast mascara line called Clean Volume. This mascara is a volumizing, vegan formula that uses marula oil instead of mineral oil. This is not a waterproof mascara, but it lasted me for a full 10 hour day without smudging. That to me was pretty impressive, especially since I wear glasses. This is the first Cover Girl mascara I’ve purchased in years, but it was well worth it. You can find this at your local drugstore or at Ulta for around $10.99.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

Maybelline Falsies mascara has been my ride or die for years now. The newest release of the Sky High Mascara gained quick popularity last month because of Tik Tok. The hype is real, the volume and length that you get with one coat of this mascara is quite impressive. This is also not a waterproof mascara and it washed off easily with my normal makeup remover. As a note, I did notice a few clumps but they were able to be combed out easily. If you can find it, this retails for around $9.00 at Walmart and Ulta.

E.L.F. Lash It Loud Mascara

Eyes, Lips, Face, and the emphasis is on the eyes with this mascara. ELF is an affordable, high quality makeup brand and they kept the train rolling with this Lash It Loud mascara. One coat of this mascara and I felt as if I had on a natural pair of lashes. The mascara promises length and volume with a brush that separates each lash adding dimension and definition. This mascara is very easy on the pockets, retailing at just $6.00. http://www.elfcosmetics.com

And the Winner Is…

Out of all of these mascaras, the one I’m loving the most is the Cover Girl. Not only did I get the volume and length, but the fact that it lasted me for almost 10 hours without smudging made it a winner. All of these were great and performed well and they are all easy on the pockets. The next time you shop for mascara, perhaps these suggestions will give you some lash inspiration.
